October Update

Statistics 41 cubs + 4 visiting Beaver 6 leaders 9 core helpers

Parents are kindly advised that as a group we are not without resources, all of which support our youth membership. We are paying for our Cubs and Beavers to attend this years District Fireworks display. If finance is an issue with any activity please have a word with a section leader, you will find us helpful and discrete.

All Cubs will meet in the hall on the Tuesday 22nd October

All Cubs are invited to join theLondon visit on Tuesday 29th October

All Cubs should attend the District Fireworks on Tuesday 5th November

Cubs will either Attend Pack or Matilda on the 12th November

Cubs trying for swimmers level 1-2-3 attend Larkshall pool Tuesday 19th November

Tuesday 29th October Bank of England and Army Museum Visit

London museum visit, a note will be emailed, meet in uniform outside the hall at 8.45pm. Bring a packed lunch, consent note, £6 plus spending money. Parents and siblings are allowed to tag along however we take no responsibility for them. We expect to return by 5:30pm.

Zombie Camp 1st-3rd November

Invitations have already gone out, Camp is open to all pack member (aged over 8). Please starve your prospective zombies from now to add to the realism. Cubs should have a distressed set of clothes for the Saturday nights battle. Best results are by letting them sleep in shallow boxes buried under ground for a few weeks. Any questions please contact a leader.

Fireworks Tuesday 5th November

Gilwell Park meet at the clock tower camp square at 6:45pm Carshare where possible as Gilwell is manic on this night. Please use the Branchett field car park and walk cubs to the clock tower square. Uniform tops and scarves, No siblings or Parents. Those with Beaver Siblings attending should speak with a leader. The Pack is paying for Cubs to attend this event. Please advise me in advance if your child is not attending as this saves the Pack £5. Dress for the weather, collection at 8:30.

Matilda Tuesday 12th November

This is also a normal cub night in the hall for those no attending Matilda.

Parish Bazaar 16th November Appeal

We are requesting that each family provides a bottle of wine or similar new luxury gift that can be used as a prize on the stall. Parish sponsorship enables us to provide scouting at the lowest possible cost, the 32nd have significantly lower subscription and running costs than other local scout groups. Helping here helps your child’s Scouting. Please bring in your donations at the latest, by the 12th of November. Families with more than one member are only asked for one bottle per family.
