Lego, Pagoda’s and tents, oh my!
A nice start to the Cub year, keyring craft, bag packing, Kew visit, Pack Quiz and games. We had some Head office advisors visit and they were really impressed with the behaviour and attitude of our cubs. Parent help has been very good, thank you. We lost one cub and took one on so numbers remain static, we have several beavers waiting to join the Pack in the coming months.
After consultation with Leaders and Group we have made a subtle change to our membership requirement. New Cubs will be required to support cub camps and additional activities. Cubs do not have to do everything but they must camp each year and support Pack outings and trips. Keep up the good support and commitment, we remain the strongest and most active local Pack but some our local fellow packs have upped their game, we mustn’t be complacent.

Church Parade is very important, its shows our support for our local community, our church who sponsor the Pack and provide our hall, think of the expense if we needed to rent one.
All Cubs should endeavour to attend this event in full neat, smart uniform. It is of course a time when we “do our duty to God” a key value of our Pack.
London Trip 27th October
The pack will have a half term outing on 27th October. Normal rules apply, uniformed activity, families welcome to tag along. Full details to follow.
Parish Bazaar 21st NovemberPlease remember our Parish bazaar, our Scout group run a tombola stall for the Parish and will need tins, new goods and bottles for prizes. All families are asked to donate something, remember the Parish allow us to use their hall free of charge and this is a small way to repay that debt.
Halloween Activity Cub Camp 30th October -1st November
Phasels’ wood is a fantastic activity centre and a great place for our annual Halloween party. This is the opportunity for cubs to attempt many exciting activities for the very first time. Please note Cub camps are one of the best experiences children gain from membership of the pack and all Cubs should attend camp at least twice a year. For newer cubs camping is a core requirement of membership. Any Questions please ask any leader for details.
Please note the date on the camp Joining instructions is wrong (31st instead of 30th) camp runs from Friday evening until Sunday midday as normal.

The cost is £27.50 which is a great price for this west end show. Pack members take precedence over all others including siblings, beavers, parents and friends. If in the unlikely event we have unsold tickets these will be offered to others as the group deems appropriate. This, like always, is a uniformed event and we will travel by public transport which is now a more effective means of getting there.
In February 2016 Pack will hold a collectors badge evening. Every Cub is expected to complete a collection, cubs can earn a collectors badge each year for a different collection. Cubs need to start their collections in the next few weeks
Make a collection over a period of three months of twelve or more similar items (eg stamps, coins, postcards, fossils).
Display your collection in an exciting and interesting way.
Talk about items in your collection that particularly interest you.
View a collection made by someone else and explain what you like or dislike about its presentation.
