January Update

32nd Pack Chingford

"Running the very best pack possible"

January 2014

Update

Statistics 38 cubs + 2 visiting Beaver 6 leaders 9 core helpers

We had a good Start to 2014 with a hike, pantomime and Monopoly tournament already completed. Statistics show our numbers have increased over January 2013 and we have a new Leader in our Pack with Kevin Walker. Please make Kevin welcome and help him where you can. January has a few events we need to concentrate on, please note that the Scooter activity requiring consent at the Mince pie rally does not apply to 32nd Cubs. We will not be sending any of our Cubs to the proposed County Scooter event in February as we will be at Winter camp on that date. We have a weekly conundrum competition for cubs on our web page: http://www.32ndchingfordscoutgroup.co.uk/home

All event details can be found on this site.

Monday 20th January swimming team selection

Free swimming event at Forest School pool 8-9pm to select our District swimming team for the Gala on Saturday evening 1st March. Cubs must be swimmers to attend the trials and should not wear large shorts for races but swimming trunks. It's all about speed.

Saturday 25th January Mince Pie Rally Gilwell

Cubs will need a packed lunch, change of shoes (they will be going outside into the mud bath that's currently Gilwell Park). Cubs can earn an activity badge at this event and should arrive at 9:45 when their outside coats, packed Lunch, outdoor shoes, will be taken away until needed. Uniform with long rough trousers and light indoor shoes for the morning. Coats and wellies for the afternoon. Although the Rally ends at 3pm our Cubs will be treated to a site tour ending at 4pm. We are still looking for a parent helper to assist with the building tidy up between 3-4pm.
