Dear Parents

Cubs (not Scouts or Beavers attending) will need the following items on their Saturday backwoods adventure day:

A washed clean empty tin (standard opened baked bean tin size, no lid or paper label) needed for cooking experiment.

An old newspaper (for wrapping food to be cooked in).

Wood dry in small sizes for kindling, bigger sizes for burning as much as you can send we will burn it all. (if you check your tumble dryer filters for fluff this is the very best firelighter available bring some)

Dress for the weather, it should be dry. The site will be muddy and Cubs may need a change of clothes. Only send uniform tops and scarves with old clothing.

Its a backwoods survival day they will get dirty smokey and clothes will be ruined (try not to sent school uniforms or Sunday best) make sure everything has their name on it. they will need a small torch and a few pounds spending money (not much).

Meet at 8:45am Danemead this Saturday

Parents and families wishing to join in the campfire be on site by 7pm

Parents helping on the day are required to contribute £5 towards food and day visitor site fees.
